Force Request - Submitting

In order to submit a force request online, you will need a CSG web account. This account is independent of your UNIX and Windows CS accounts. Your username should be your CS Windows account username, and your password will initially be your student ID number. If you are having problems logging in, or do not have a CSG web account, come by the Helpdesk (HRBB 210) and ask to have a web account set up for a force request. (It is important to tell us specifically why you need the account.)

1. Getting Started

The form to submit a force request is located here: https://csnet.cs.tamu.edu/apps/forces/

If this is your first time visiting this site, a security window might pop up (Fig. 1). Click “Yes” to continue.

5. Selecting Courses & Sections

You will see a page similar to Fig. 5. Under the “Class” column, choose the course you wish to force into from the drop-down box. Once you have selected the course, type in the first section number you prefer in the “Section” column. Next, click “Apply.” Repeat this step for each course you wish to force into, making sure to indicate all possible sections for each course. When you are done, click “Next >>.”

7. Confirmation

You should be taken to a confirmation page that tells you if your force request was submitted successfully. If it was, you will receive an e-mail at the address you specified. Any changes to the force request after it has been submitted must be made by going to the Advising Office personally.
