Mapping your H: Drive

    This document contains information on how to map your CS account as a network drive in or out of the H.R. Bright Building:

  1. Right click My Computer and select Map network drive.

  2. Once the Map Network Drive box opens up, in the drop down menu titled Drive pick a drive letter that is currently not occupied. If you are in H.R. Bright Building pick the letter H:\ as your drive. In the textbox titled Folder type in \\aspengrove.cs.tamu.edu\your_username. Check the box that is titled Reconnect at Logon. Click Finish.

  3. If you are on campus but not in H.R. Bright building, you will need to perform an additional operation in the above step, click on the connect using a different username link. This will pop-up a Connect as.. login box. In the text box titled Username: type in CPSC\your_username, in the text box titled Password type in your CS WINDOWS password, click OK.

  4. Once finish is clicked on the Map Network Drive box, a new window will pop-up containing your computer science account contents. To confirm your desired drive letter has been mapped click on the start on your toolbar and select run. Once the run box pops up type in your drive letter (e.g. H:\) and it should pop-up with the contents you mapped that drive too.
