Matlab 6 - How To Access

Texas A&M Computer Science department has Matlab 6 installed in the UNIX servers. In order to access Matlab 6, you will be required to have x-win32 running. Running X-win32 will allow the user to get a graphical interface.

Steps to access Matlab 6

  1. Log into a unix server using X-Win32 ( need help with X-Win32 look at X-Win32 5.4 - How to Set Up).


  2. Type 'matlab' at a command prompt.(As shown below in fig. 01)

  4. It will take awhile for Matlab 6 to load, A pop up window will be displayed (saying Matlab 6) (As shown below in fig. 02).

  6. Once loaded multiple windows will be on the screen. (As shown below in fig. 03)
