Printing - Reducing Printing Time for PowerPoint Slides

PowerPoint slides sometimes tie up the printers and take a long time to print. This helpfile explains how to drastly reduce the time it takes for your PowerPoint slides to print. For further assitance with PowerPoint slides see Printing - Duplex And Multiple PowerPoint Slides On A Page.

  1. Click File and select Print (or press Ctrl-P)

  2. Select Print to File ,you can choose to print multiple PowerPoint slides on a page now if you like (for further assitance with PowerPoint slides see Printing - Duplex And Multiple PowerPoint Slides On A Page), and then click OK.

  3. Save the as filename.ps and make sure you choose All Files (*.*) and don't forget the ".ps". Then click Save. I suggest you save the print file to Desktop. When you finish the print job, you can delete the file.

  4. Right click on the file that you've just saved, then select Print. Before you print, make sure where is your default printer (usually, the default printer should be ps210 in room 210).

  5. Now your PowerPoint print job has been sent to your default printer, and you can delete the print file.
