Open X-Config from the Start Menu (Start->Programs->Communications->X-win32->x-config) from any of the Windows Lab Machines (As shown below in figure 01).

In the X-Win32 Configuration Window Click on the Add Button In The Sessions Tab (As shown below in figure 02).

In the Connect Method window select XDMCP as the Connect Method and click Next > (As shown below in figure 03).

In the New XDMCP Session you would do the following if you wished to connect to unix.cs.tamu.edu (Also shown below in figure 04).
Session name: Unix
XDMCP: Select 'Query' on the drop down box
Host name: unix.cs.tamu.edu
Check Auto Start & Show Messages
The drop down box at bottom of window currently says 'Default' change that to 'Switch to Single'
Click save and you are finished configuring a new session for X-Win32.

Select the font tab, then select the last font listed in the font path (it has cedar in the name),then click the remove button. (As shown below in fig. 15)

Select the Add Font Server button, and enter cedar as host, leave the port field alone. Select Ok (As shown below in fig. 16)

Your Unix Session has now been created succesfully, click Apply, Then Ok (As shown below in fig. 17)

Now to start X-Win32 open X-Win32 from the Start Menu (Start->Programs->Communications->X-win32->X-win32)(As shown below in figure 06).

The X-Win32 Program should start and you should see start up screen (As shown below in figure 07).

If you have never set up X-Win32 before then you will be given an option for desktop enviroments.
Click Ok, because you want the default settings to take effect. (See figure 14 below)

At the prompt enter your Unix username. (Figure 08 below shows the prompt)

After entering your Unix username type in your Password (Note: you will not see *'s or the password as you type).
(Figure 09 below shows the prompt)

If you entered your password corretly X-Win32 will start to connect and load your Desktop Enviroment.
(Note: Sometimes this load up screen can hang please wait and give it time.)

Once your X-Win32 is loaded it should be ready for use. (A loaded X-Win32 is shown below in figure 11)

Usually you want to do something on unix so you want to start a Terminal Session.
Right click on the screen, Select Tools, Then Terminal

Your terminal window should open and you can begin your unix session. (Terminal window is shown below in figure 13)
